Version: 17 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of COM Inbound (the "App"), provided by Extelynx ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App on behalf of a Shopify store, you confirm that you have authority to bind that store or business (the "Merchant") and agree to these Terms, including the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these Terms. They take effect on first use subject to these published terms; no separate checkbox or signature is required. Changes for existing Merchants follow section 14.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.
1. The service
COM Inbound is an embedded Shopify admin application for recording expected customer- or vendor-supplied material, shipments, partial receipts, inspections, exceptions, approvals, and a production-readiness indicator associated with a Shopify order.
The App does not:
- change Shopify inventory, orders, fulfillment, checkout, or payments;
- provide carrier synchronization, labels, or shipment guarantees;
- send customer email or SMS messages;
- provide production scheduling, manufacturing execution, ERP, accounting, tax, or legal services;
- guarantee that material is complete, suitable, safe, or available for production.
The App's status is an operational aid based on Shopify order state and data entered by the Merchant. It does not replace the Merchant's own inspection, quality, safety, purchasing, or production controls.
2. Eligibility and Shopify account
The Merchant must maintain an eligible Shopify account, comply with Shopify's terms and policies, and grant the App's requested permission. The App currently requests read_orders so it can identify recent orders and determine relevant order state.
The Merchant is responsible for the security of its Shopify accounts, staff permissions, devices, and credentials. The Merchant must notify us promptly at security@extelynx.com if it suspects unauthorized App access.
3. Fees
The current version of COM Inbound is provided under one Free plan. It has no trial charge, usage charge, paid upgrade requirement, or external invoice.
We may introduce, change, or discontinue plans in the future only with the notice and consent required by applicable law and Shopify policy. A future paid plan will not create retroactive charges.
4. Merchant responsibilities
The Merchant is responsible for:
- ensuring that material quantities, conditions, notes, due dates, shipment references, issue resolutions, approvals, and other entered information are accurate and lawful;
- reviewing App states before making purchasing or production decisions;
- maintaining appropriate independent records and business continuity plans;
- ensuring that authorized users understand the workflow;
- not entering unnecessary personal data, payment data, passwords, access tokens, or confidential customer information into free-text fields;
- responding to its customers' privacy requests and forwarding relevant requests to us when necessary;
- complying with laws and contractual obligations applicable to its business, products, workers, customers, and suppliers.
5. Acceptable use
The Merchant must not, and must not permit others to:
- use the App unlawfully or to violate another person's rights;
- attempt to access another merchant's data or bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, or security controls;
- probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App, except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by law;
- upload malware or harmful code;
- use the App to store special-category, highly sensitive, payment-card, account credential, or unrelated personal data;
- misrepresent the App's output as a guarantee by us, Shopify, a supplier, or a carrier.
We may suspend access reasonably necessary to protect merchants, Shopify, the App, or third parties, or to comply with law.
6. Merchant data and privacy
As between the parties, the Merchant retains its rights in information it enters into the App. The Merchant gives us the limited right to process that information as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the App and to comply with law.
Our data practices are described in the COM Inbound Privacy Policy at https://extelynx.com/extensions/com-inbound/privacy/. Our DPA governs processing of personal data on behalf of the Merchant and prevails over these Terms and the Privacy Policy for that processing.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its software, design, documentation, trademarks, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant the Merchant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the App for its internal business operations while the App is installed.
Feedback may be used to improve the App without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify the person or Merchant who supplied it without permission.
8. Third-party services
The App depends on Shopify and third-party hosting, database, and networking services. Their availability and changes can affect the App. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to operate and restore the App.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, correct defects, change the App, or discontinue functionality. We will provide reasonable notice of a material adverse change where practicable or legally required.
The Merchant should report problems through https://extelynx.com/extensions/com-inbound/support/ and maintain procedures that allow its operations to continue during an outage.
10. Termination and uninstall
The Merchant may stop using the App by uninstalling it from Shopify Admin. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security threat, legal requirement, Shopify platform action, or discontinuation of the service.
After uninstall, App data is handled according to the Privacy Policy and Shopify's mandatory privacy lifecycle. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms—continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. We do not warrant that App records are sufficient for any regulatory, safety, quality, accounting, or contractual purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, production, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising from or related to the App.
Our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from fraud or willful misconduct where applicable.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights that apply to the Merchant, the courts of Warsaw, Poland will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the App.
Before filing a claim, each party agrees to make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute by contacting the other party. Contact us at support@extelynx.com.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, law, or Shopify policy. We will publish a dated version and notify existing Merchants of material changes before they take effect, including the effective date in the notice. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
