COM Inbound documentation for Shopify
COM Inbound helps made-to-order Shopify merchants track customer- or vendor-supplied material before releasing an order to production.
The core workflow is:
Waiting for material → Received and inspected → Ready for production

- Configuration — default due dates and material units.

Focused scope
Section titled “Focused scope”COM Inbound reads the minimum Shopify order state needed for its workflow. It does not change orders, inventory, fulfillment, checkout, payments, tags, or metafields.
It does not provide carrier polling, labels, barcode or file uploads, customer messaging, quoting, costing, production scheduling, ERP integration, roles, bulk import, or custom reporting.
Product information
Section titled “Product information”Service agreement
Section titled “Service agreement”By using COM Inbound on behalf of your store, you agree to the Terms of Service, including the Data Processing Agreement. There is no separate acceptance checkbox. Legal links remain available in Settings and a non-blocking notice appears in the App. Activity history does not identify individual staff members.
The legal notice sits within each page’s content width and can be dismissed. Dismissal is remembered in browser local storage for the current notice version on this app origin, across stores opened in the same browser. It stores only a UI preference, with no staff identity, timestamp, or acceptance record, and is not sent to the server. Clearing site storage or a new notice version makes it appear again. If browser storage is blocked, dismissal lasts for the current app visit. Terms, DPA, and Privacy links remain available in Settings.
