COM Inbound configuration for Shopify
COM Inbound has two merchant-level defaults. They prefill new material records and can be changed for an individual material before it is saved.
Open Settings
Section titled “Open Settings”Open COM Inbound in Shopify Admin and select Settings from the application navigation.
Days until material is due
Section titled “Days until material is due”This setting controls the default due date for a new expected material.
- Allowed range: 1–180 days.
- Default value: 14 days.
- The value must be a whole number.
Changing the default affects new material records. It does not rewrite existing due dates.
Default unit
Section titled “Default unit”Choose the unit preselected for new materials:
yd— yards, the default;m— metres;ft— feet;pc— pieces;roll— rolls;other— another operational unit.
A material’s unit cannot be changed after its first receipt has been recorded.
Save defaults
Section titled “Save defaults”Select Save defaults. A confirmation banner appears after the settings are stored. You can still choose a different due date or unit while creating an individual material.
Help and policy links
Section titled “Help and policy links”Settings also provides links to this documentation, Support, the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, and the Data Processing Agreement.
Customer privacy requests
Section titled “Customer privacy requests”For a data-access request, open Settings → Customer privacy requests and select Download request JSON. Stay signed in to Shopify while downloading. Exports are available for up to 30 days; handle downloaded files through your store’s privacy process. Expiry or deletion in the App does not remove copies already downloaded to your device. If downloading fails, refresh Settings and try again.
Service agreement
Section titled “Service agreement”By using COM Inbound on behalf of your store, you agree to the Terms of Service, including the Data Processing Agreement. There is no separate acceptance checkbox. Legal links remain available in Settings and a non-blocking notice appears in the App. Activity history does not identify individual staff members.
The legal notice sits within each page’s content width and can be dismissed. Dismissal is remembered in browser local storage for the current notice version on this app origin, across stores opened in the same browser. It stores only a UI preference, with no staff identity, timestamp, or acceptance record, and is not sent to the server. Clearing site storage or a new notice version makes it appear again. If browser storage is blocked, dismissal lasts for the current app visit. Terms, DPA, and Privacy links remain available in Settings.
